In 1997 the Indian Paper Industry experienced a revolution. A revolution in paper quality powered by a company called Fimakem and its product called WGCC – an Advanced Ultrafine Wet Ground Natural Calcium Carbonate Slurry. WGCC was introduced for the first time in India and Fimakem introduced it as a unique concept – onsite and satellite WGCC plants set up on exclusive basis for a customer.

FIMCARB, a brand Industry reckons – Introducing FIMCARB – Fine Particle size – Material Purity – and Technology – which are vital qualities of our WGCC to ensure a superior quality of paper and board when used both as a filler and coating pigment or when used as a filler in paint, rubber or glove manufacturing. In FIMCARB – every micron counts. Fimakem’s technology yields a fine quality of less than 2 µm (micron) top sized WGCC particle slurry with optimized viscosity, abrasion, disperse-ability and particle size distribution, critical parameters that are tailor made for a customer by Fimakem. FIMCARB, delivers a value proposition – Fimakem gives a paper mill the ability to use a captive WGCC production facility within – or close to – a paper mill. The benefits one will experience are cost-efficiencies, timely WGCC supply and quality control that is tightly integrated into the paper manufacturing and coating process. And when Fimcarb is used as a filler in paint, rubber or glove, the benefits the customer will experience are enhanced functional properties with optimised cost.
