- Wollastonite filler was successfully evaluated in conventional epoxy zinc phosphate primer formulation at various percentages as a partial replacement of zinc phosphate filler.
- Among 2-Grades of Wollastonite Kemolite KW-4 was observed to be best in terms of processing of paint.
- The studies revealed that, the 75% replacement seems to be best option to incorporate wollastonite filler in conventional epoxy zinc phosphate primer as far as processing and performance properties are concerned.

Wet Ground calcium carbonate (WGCC) for paint application
Our WGCC products are being used in Paint applications due to having its good dispersing property and finer particles as
Fimcarb – 55P, is a well dispersed wet ground calcium carbonate slurry and having uniformly ground particles with fineness of particles less than 2 microns are around 60%. This can be used in place of 8 micron (d97) calcium carbonate powder extenders. Uniform size will give better performance compared to powder extenders.
Fimcarb – 90P is ultrafine well dispersed slurry having 95% of the particles finer than 2 micron. With the sub-micron particles present in the slurry this product is having good tendency to work as Titanium Spacing agent. Our customers using this product could partially replace Titanium Dioxide with better spacing, maintaining the optical properties same as their normal product. Some of the customers have replaced Calcined Kaolin with this product.
Our slurry products are normally supplied at 75% solids basis, well dispersed and biocide added in the product. This enables end user to reduce their make down time as well as avoid spillage losses which are common in ultrafine powder extenders.
